I would get. DH and I had never gotten them until this year. We, and our older girls, all got them because of our 2month old. Already, she has had 2 colds and now an ear infection! And we are soooo careful about hygiene, and only take her out to check-ups and relative's houses. The idea of flu in an infant terrifies me.

if you are dead set against getting the shot for DD - I would make sure you and DH definately get yours..JMO

My DH and I have been getting it ever since DD was born, I had the flu one year and I thought I was going to DIE, it was horrible, we never had a reaction to the flu shot, Julia and Todd Jr just got theres and had no reaction either!
The only reaction you can get it a sore arm from the shot, thats it.
