Another football injury
DH has this passion for football for which I will never understand but respect and do not keep him from.
HOWEVER during this season, his passion has already brought him to the ER at 1am on a Saturday night because of a bone bruise on his knee in October.
NOW he comes home yesterday with his nose swollen because someone on the opposing team he played yesterday decided to use his own face to plow through DH. DH plays offensive line. Apparently, he was bleeding quite badly - but it isnt broken - or so we think. The other guy has one hell of a fat lip.
Last year, it was a concussion and a torn leg muscle just before the wedding.
Once again, I feel bad if he is uncomfy, but there is an assumption of risk when you don't play with pads and helmets. Since we are TTC, I just told him to protect the "boys."

Re: Another football injury
boys!!!
my DH does the same thing.. he just broke his little pinky finger playing dodgeball... he even had to have surgery and a metal plate and pin inserted Do you think that will stop him? no... they are already planning for next season... not to mention two of his teammates each broke their noses playing!

Re: Another football injury
Eh I figure as long as he can breathe he will be fine.
He also just informed me that football players don't wear cups - fabulous.

Nope - something about if when they fall, the "fellas" can get squeezed or pinched from the side and more damage can be done.
