I have not really posted about my situation lately but i am having a hard day and knew this was the place where you guys understand.
After our 4th mc in 1 1/2 years we had our 2nd d&c and the results came back as triploidy so there was an extra set of chromosomes etc. We made it to 10 weeks with this pregnancy (the furthest yet) and saw the heartbeat every week from 5 on..
my ob felt this was a positive result because it showed the meds i am taking (heparin for blood clotting issues & prednisone and ivig for immune) are working but this pregnancy just never would have survived. the placenta and everything looked perfect they said (no infections, no clots, no tissue death) and they really think if it had been chromosmally ok it would have made it..sigh...My other d&c showed a chromosonally normal male so we are hoping this is just a fluke..the "bad luck" they love to say...
anyway so my dr says..take a month and try again...
well it has been 12 weeks and No AF...my ob wants to put me on the BCP's but i made an appt with a re who specializes in ashermans (when scar tissue build in the uterus after a d&c)
I am hoping that is not the case but I feel like i need to check to see if scar tissue is blocking before i just pump more hormones into me..
I just feel soo overwhelmed....like how many hurdles do we have to jump ya know..I am trying to just take it one day at a time and if it is ashermans we will just have to have surgery and hope for the best..
I just feel like whenever i have a handle on things another things gets put on..mercy ya know =)..
Every step you take brings you closer to a happy and healthy pregnancy. You may have some retained tissue or something? Good luck
Hey lady -
they tested my beta a few weeks ago and it was zero...they also did an ultrasound and my ob said it looked like i was ovulating but at this point i should have had a period since then.

Hmmm maybe your body just needs a jump start...good luck sweetie
I think you are on the right path. Definitely check for the Ashermans. There was someone on here years ago (can't remember her name) who tested positive for Ashermans, had surgery and got PG shortly thereafter.
I don't know what to tell you as far as the hits...I know how you feel. But, at least your Drs. are working with you and giving you answers. You will get there, keep your chin up.
I feel so lucky to have women to talk to who know how it feels and I know so many of us have had to go through hurdles after hurdles and we all find the strentgh to keep going somehow..it is comforting to know we are not alone..
We also went to our 2nd adoption seminar last nigt and I left feeling hopeful for the first time in a while..not that the adoption road is easy either but i left feeling like we have a good shot of having our family..so we will see...
Thanks again for all your support..i will keep you posted when i see the dr
