Another IUI question
So if my IUI is Friday...
I think they start them as early as 7 am? Does anyone know?
DH has to leave for a week long business trip early Monday and I'm concerned about him missing a lot of the business day on Friday.
Can I drive home by myself? FIL and MIL know about our situation, both are retired. I can ask FIL to drive me home if necessary, he's really good when it comes to such. MIL doesn't drive on the parkways
Thanks ladies

Where do you go? At NSUH I went as early at 7am. NObody has to drive you home. Its like a 2 min procedure, they make you stay lying down for about 10 or 15 minutes and then your good to go.. GOOD LUCK!
Also I was gonna add that at 7am I would go drop off my sample to be washed.. they would make me come back a couple hours later for the procedure..

At RS of NY, you can drop off you sample at 7 am and then they have you come back an hour later for the IUI. It's pretty quick and relatively painless. Which office do you go to?

OK, so I guess DH and I will drive in in separate cars... he'll drop off his sample and I'll wait around.
Thanks

If you do that, RS makes you bring stuff to prove it's his so call and make sure you have what you need on the form inside the paper bag.

Re: Another IUI question
I used to bring DH's sample, drop it off, go have breakfast and go back. I usually went right to work after the IUI.

Re: Another IUI question
Yes at RSONY the appointments for drop off are between 7 am-8am. Ask for an early one. You need DHS actual drivers license and he has to fill out and sign the form if hes not going and your bringing it there.
Drop it off across the hall at the lab and they will tell you what time to be back for the IUI. Its usually about an hr - an hour 15 minutes later.
When the time comes you sign in at that time in the regualr office and they call you in. The IUI for me even on the days where I had a lot of cramping, I could easily have worked and driven after. Most times you feel nothing, and it honestly takes all of 3 minutes. The waiting is the worst part.
From start to finish when I have had a 7:00 drop off, I was usually at work between 10:30-11:00. I ttakes about 3 hrs on average in the 6 times I went, and its mainly the wait.
GOOD LUCK! ME PRAYING FOR YOU!

Re: Another IUI question
Hi!! I had my IUI this past Sunday... It actually worked out great because both DH and I were traveling on separate business trips on Monday. They did need to see both our DLs and DH had to fill out a form. And just like everyone said, drop off teh sample and come back in about an hour. After that a less than 5 min procedure.. lay down for another 10 mins and then you're good to go!
Good luck and lots of baby dust!
