Another kids' clothing post: How much of your child/childrens clothing are you keeping?
as memories? I saved certain pieces for each of my three children; I have them in a cedar chest, but I wouldn't mind buying little individual, personized cedar chests, from the Amish in Lancaster, for each child's special memories, clothing, baby book etc. Mary

I saved the coming home outfit and baby naming dress for Abby. I saved Jeremy's coming home outfit which ended up being used for his bris as well.

Coming home outfit (which is really just was a footed sleeper that was actually HUGE even though it was the only piece of NB sized clothes I had) and a romper that she is wearing in some of my favorite pictures when she was about 3 weeks old.

Re: Another kids' clothing post: How much of your child/childrens clothing are you keeping?
Right now, I'm just saving a few pieces in every size of my very favorites since we would like to have another child (but since you never know gender, time of year, etc, I am not saving everything). I don't know what I'll save for memories yet. So far, there hasn't been any piece of clothing that really stands out that I want to save. We did a "design the onesies" at my baby shower and MIL made a newborn one that says DD's name on it that I might sew together shut and stuff to make a little doll out of as a keepsake, though.
My SIL saved a lot of things and gave them to me to use with DD but they were off-season and I didn't want to risk messing them up at all, so they're just in her closet for me to give back to SIL. One is an outfit of hers from when she was a baby. So sweet.
The only outfit I had from when I was a baby was because it fit on my cabbage patch kid growing up. I think it's still at my mom's somewhere.
