another light switch question
for those of you who changed your light switch plates did you change the actual switch? Now I have all my switches white but the plates would be a different color would they look right..

Only if I went to an almond plate. If they were anything else, they will never match. There aren't that many choices for light switch colors (at least not at HD or other hardware stores).

ok I was thinking of some almond plates also I guess I would have to change the switches on those
this is getting more expensive as I thought

I haven't done it yet, but I want too. Nothing matches. I changed a lot of the plates to white form almond, & the switches are almond, and some of them are black.
Same thing with my outlets.

Yes. My poor DH and father.
We have antique brass plates/outlet covers, so I've been making them switch the light switches and outlets to almond. If they mistakenly put in the wrong color, I'm quick to point it out.

We did.
We put in some of our new plates and then realized how grubby the old switches looked. We needed to change our outlets (they were two pronged not three) so we changed the switches as well.
