another question... brunch
is there a "guide" for brunch?
has anyone come up with a percentage/list of how much of each type of food you should have to have a well-balanced brunch?
remember when we were all planning weddings and many wedding budgets would give you percentages for each category? is there such a thing for brunch? lol
how much/many meat dishes, how much veggies, how much starch, etc

Re: another question... brunch
I don't follow any rules, I just plan a menu with foods that complement each other and have a good variety so there is something for everyone to enjoy. I do tend to focus more on breakfast options, which are always a big hit, and just offer a few really good savory/lunch options.

This is roughly what I've done in the past, but was wondering if there was a "guide" to help me plan for my next brunch.

I like to mix it up - but something from each of these categories: egg, potato, sweet, fresh fruit. The last brunch I did a quiche, French toast casserole, a hash brown casserole and fresh fruit with yogurt dip. I also included bagels and spreads and of course, mimosas!

I've never come across any specific guidelines for a brunch. As long as you have a variety of foods as well as foods that complement each other you are good to go! Everyone loves a good brunch!
