Another Question on Cereal
I started Julia on cereal a few days ago - and introduced pears already (i know I was supposed to wait) - but she seems to like the cereal so much better with a bit of sweetness.....im going to stick with it for a few days before i introduce another fruit.
How much am i supposed to give her a day - a tablespoon, 2?? Do I give her cereal just in the morning - or a few times a day? For how long should this last? I've been giving it to her once a day and a tblsp - but not sure if this is right or not
I had to shift my doctor's appt to next week - so i didn't ask all the questions I would of liked to the doctor - but I would appreciate your help please
What were your experiences like? This seems to be confusing - I don't want to give Julia a tummy ache.
Thanks

Re: Another Question on Cereal
we started Alyson on 4 Tbsp right off the bat once a day. Then we did twice a day and then introduced fruit from there.
If she's showing interest and wanting more (opens her mouth in anticipation) give her some more!

Re: Another Question on Cereal
My ped told me to start my son on cereal 2x a day at 4mos. 1 tablespoon of cereal with 4 tablespoons of formula or BM. Right after his first bottle and right after his last. Since I felt 830-9pm was too late for cereal, we gave it to him after his 2nd to last bottle, which at that time was 530pm. Once he was used to that, I decreased the formula to make the cereal thicker. As for the fruit, we started them at 5 mos once a day--1/2 the plastic Gerber container. The following month we started veggies. Same thing with 1/2 the container.
