another question, this one sleep related
I still have trouble getting my son to go to sleep on his own and to sleep though the night. I have tried everything, including CIO, and have failed. Ever since he could pull up and stand in his crib, nothing works excpt rocking him to sleep. Is anyone else dealing with a CIO-resistant baby?

I have not tried CIO, but since steven is standing I'm having the same problem. Sometimes I make him a small bottle and give it to him in the crib and he falls back asleep. But, that's just getting him back into the habit of a middle night bottle.

Re: another question, this one sleep related
YES DD is 13 mths and we are having some sleep issues too...it is so frustrating. They just started a few weeks ago - - up till then she slept through the night with no problems. Now...she wont go to sleep on her own. I dont have to rock her. But I hold her and snuggle and watch tv with her till she nods out. If I put her in the crib awake...she screams and wont lay down. Then.....recently...she started waking around 2 am. She screams and cries and wont go back to sleep - - unless I take her in bed with us. Then she conks right out. I am soo exhausted from getting up every night that Ive started taking her inthe bed. Im afraid Ive really started a bad habit. Its just so hard to know what to do....CIO doesnt work for her. She SCREAMS until her face is purple and she is gasping for air. I cant take it. Im hoping maybe smeone will have some advice for us....you are not alone!
