Another refi question
For those who are refinancing or already refinanced, how have the appraisals been coming out? Price decrease/about the same as purchase price? If so, how did that affect the refi?
We are refinancing (4.75%) and the appraisal was done today.

Has no-one here successfully refinanced recently? Has anyone been rejected due to the appraisal?

My dh is a broker and he just refi'd one of our friends and they lost 10% of the house value, not that bad

I am in the middle of a refinance, and my appraisal lowered significantly. (and I bought in NOV.!!!) This is why we are waiting for Obama’s stimulus to go thru, hopefully in the next few weeks. Which will allow people whose house appraised lower (I think my broker said up to 105%) Not too sure, ask your broker, he should be able to explain it way better than I. I just know that after it’s passed, we shouldn’t have a problem, some good news! Good luck
