Another rejection...my self worth is shot
Just need some hugs. I have come to expect a rejection every time I get a job-related email. And 99.9999% of the time, I am right.

Hang in there... I've had several this summer and still searching for a job..It's tough out there, which I hate hearing everyone say when they have a job... UGH!!

Keep the faith. It took me 2 years to find a job that wasn't a crappy one after being laid off in 08.
What type of work are you looking for?

Hang in there. My dh just found a job last month and he absolutely loves it. It was a LOOOOOONNNNGG...road to find it but he eventually found it after 3 hours of underemployment and unemployment.

What type of work are you looking for?
It's rough, I graduated with my PhD in Neuroscience in May 2010. I want to do something in science, but not research. So either education and public outreach (like museum stuff or even at a nonprofit) or science, technology, and medical publishing. I've been focusing on publishing and had some interviews, but no offers.
It's hard because with my lack of work experience and my only experience being in research, I don't have a check box that people can put me in. It's like they think I have an interesting background but don't know what to do with me, KWIM?

Your background may tie into the area I work in a little bit. I can FM you some suggestions of agencies to look into if you are interested.
We are also hiring right now at my agency for Service Coordinators but it's a rough job most days because of the expectations of the clients and the state program itself.

If life closes one door, it opens another. You just have to wait and watch for that door to open. My SIL also found job 6 months post graduation.
