Another resume question
How many references should be on the resume?

Re: Another resume question
I supply at least 3 that I know will be easy to get a hold of. (I try to give personal contacts from agencies and avoid going the HR route).
The last several places I have worked for, needed to get into contact with 2 in order to extend an offer.

Re: Another resume question
Lon your actual resume, I say none. I bring printed copies with the contact info for my references and offer it on the spot or in an email follow up. I usually put three though for my current job I gave four just for relevancy purposes. They called two of them.

Excellent point. Don't put them on the resume itself. If you're handing out the resume in person, or putting it in regular mail, I would have your references typed out on the same paper your resume's on. It will look pulled together and professional.

i just put "references available upon request" at the bottom of my resume
and then have a sheet of 3-5 ready for when you interview
