Another SA question

We have been waiting all day for the lab to send DH's SA results over to his urologist. The Dr's office was able to get the information from the lab (which sux) and the lab told the nurse the numbers fall within normal range. That's good right? I would think they are talking about count. What else would the SA show? I know there is something about morphology? I don't know what that is. The results will be sent to my dr and we have an appt with him tomorrow to go over everything. My tests have all come back fine. Do we look like we are headed in a good direction where neither of us have issues, we just need to see what it is taking so long?

They check for count, motility (how the sperm move) and morphology (if they are normal shape etc). HTH

I'm not sure what the count should be, all I know is that morphology should be about 5%. Motility should be around 50% (I think - but my RE said my DH's was 20% which was okay considering the other problems with his SA).

You should be able to get a copy of the report. Our RE went over it with us. It was pretty detailed..I believed it had the counts, morphology, how many were fast moving, slow, medium, how many were moving in a foward direction and a couple of other important things I can't remember the name of. I would definitely speak to your RE who can go over it with you. Good Luck!!

i think my dr. mentioned something about it also checking for sucrose levels?? i forget exactly..something to do with sugar which is present in semen.
