Another Seizure.
In the early morning again.
This time I was upstairs with him. I turned him on his side, held him and shushed at him while he seized.
And then it was over and I lay with him during the post ichtal state until his heart slowed to normal and his eyes closed and he slept.
What's amazing is.. I was so calm. Part of me was thinking I should wig out - but I have come to realize that I'm actually very good in emergencies with my kids. I'm calm, I'm rationale and I am soothing. Totally not like I am in normal life.
We went to the hospital because both of our neurologists were not available and my pediatrician said it would be a good idea. His blood count was slightly low - but other than that he is fine. But now.. they will be pushing harder for him to go on medicine.

I know how stressful that must be. My niece has epilepsy and it's very hard on her parents.

So sorry. We're dealing with seizures right now too - trying to avoid meds. What neuro / hospital are you using? We're going for a second opinion at Columbia Pres. - heard fantastic things about them.

Robbie's neuro is Dr. Kan at Schneider's.. but she was on vacation this week so we went to Good Sam. I didn't know you were dealing with this too!
