Another sleep question...
Alright, I know DS is only 4 weeks old so I am not expecting much. BUT he is going down ok at night, sleeps 3-4 hours and usually gets up at 12-1 for a bottle. He goes back down fine then, but is back up around 3-4 and takes another bottle and then never really goes back down. I mean I put him back in his crib but I can hear him grunting and whining on the monitor. ANd then by 6 he is up. He is taking 6 oz at a time so I know he is eating enough (and not spitting up or anything). Any suggestions to get him to sleep longer?

Re: Another sleep question...
I wouldn't try to impose anything on him at this point.... He's only 4 weeks old.
At that point, Kristina was sleep and eat on demand, and by 3 months old, she was sleeping 12 hours SOLID each night....

Yeah I'm impatient and sleep deprived It's hard to see that it will get better when they are up so much!! I haven't tried to set a schedule or anything yet-he definately is dictating our lives!

Trust... I hear ya, and totally understand.
When she started at 7 weeks giving me a 7 hour stretch... when I should have been sleeping sooooooooooooo beautifully... I was up every so often looking at her thinking WT heck... what is wrong - why are you sleeping and not waking me????
So, it goes both ways - you are tired now b/c of the constant waking, and then when they finally start sleeping through the night JUST WHEN YOU THINK that you CAN'T take it anymore.... you are still up all night long checking on them!!!!!

Re: Another sleep question...
To this day my DS does not have a schedule generally he wakes up every 4 hours for a feeding, and thats his schedule. As said before your DS is still so little i would not impose anything and let him run the show, he needs to get strong and healthy so whatever works for him.
