Another tax question.....
I recently changed my last name with SS (Yeah I know... I got married in Aug 06- I just did this with SS recently).
My question is this:
All my tax forms say my maiden name- including my W-2 forms. SS now recognizes me as my married name. Will I have a problem now being that the names don't match up?

I had two w2s this year, one in my maiden name, one in my married name and we had no problem filing or getting our refund.
Our acct. said they match by SS#.

You shouldn't since it is the ssn they are matching. Be sure to change your name at all banks and work

your accountant can take care of that for you - it will not be an issue. your SSN never changes.

you won't have a problem AS LONG AS your 1040 has the name that matches your social security card, ESPECIALLY if you're filing electronically.
i had a client with the same issue. used the name on her social security card and had no problems

They dont match. SS knows me now by my married name.. All my forms including my 1040 are in my maiden name.
