Another wedding related spinoff
Was there anyone invited to your wedding that you haven't ever seen again since or stayed in touch with in some way? Looking back do you think it would have been better not to invite them?
We invited DH's old long time friends...he hadn't seen them in a long long time...took a while to track them all down. They came, and we never saw most of them again. One couple we kind of connected with and now stay in touch with which is nice. I don't regret inviting the others, but looking back it was pretty pointless to invite them.

Yes, I had a friend at the time that I even considered putting in my wedding party but I haven't seen her a day since. Oh well....

No, because we cut all those people from the guest list. We really only invited family and those who are close to us since we wanted a smaller wedding.

there have been people I haven't seen since my wedding, including my sister  (she lives in CA). but there isn't anyone that was there that we don't keep in touch with anymore

There's only one person that I never really saw or heard from again which I expected. She was a long time friend and we had mostly gone our seperate ways -- the only reason she was invited was because we were both going to be at the same wedding three weeks after my wedding and I would have been uncomfortable if I didn't invite her.
There are a couple of people I don't see or hear from but I am glad they were at the wedding. These friendships sorted of faded over the past 3 or so years.

Only 2. (the person + guest) I won't go into specifics but it wasn't my guest nor DH's. It was a request from a close family member.
I don't regret it only because that family member has kept in touch.

honestly yes, my parents paid for the wedding so many of their guests were invited-a lot of extended family-their cousins-aunts and uncles-and many of MIL and FIL's friends- we knew everyone- but they are not close to us-but rather our parents- so I have not seen them... as far as "my" guests-friends and stuff- I have basically seen or heard from everyone since the wedding

Yes and Yes.
We pretty much knew it would happen but had to invite them to keep the "family peace". Their actions at the wedding once and for all showed their true colors so we are done with them.
