Anxiety before your period?
Does anyone get anxiety as a part of PMS?
I woke up this morning with my heart racing and a feeling of dread for no reason at all.
Nothing out of the ordinary is going on.
My period is due though and I find that I get random bouts of anxiety a few days before.
Anyone else get this?

Anxiety before your period?
Yep. I find myself thinking some really morbid things and then I realize that my period is just about to come. It's really annoying.
My doc had put me on vitamin D with calcium for my PMS, but it didn't really do much.

YES!! and it has been worse since I had the kids.
It is this really heavy feeling of something awful about to happen and I cannot shake it. It has gotten so bad that some months I feel like I need meds.

OMG yes!!! Especially about my kids. I think the worse case scenarios about everything we do - going to the park or just getting into a car and my mind starts thinking about what could happen to us. It really scares me.

Yes like can i take anxiety meds for just a few days?
I hate that feeling in my chest.
Sometimes I think I am going to have some kind of heart episode.
I hate waking up with that feeling!
Bottom line- being a woman suckssss!

not anxiety, but horrible fantasies.
last one, as i was doing the dishes, i imagined my brother dying and the whole funeral, explaining it to DS (who loves his uncle) etc. It was so vivid i could not snap out of it! It's like being in a dream but awake. I hate it!

Anxiety before your period?
Yes, I literally feel like I'm having a heart attack 3 days before my period. I can tell now being pregnant when my hormones are increasing. Early on, the first few weeks after I got pregnant I felt like I was having a heart attack, pretty much since the IUIs. Every month I literally feel my heart racing and I get very light headed from it. I can only imagine after I have the babies! I try and just take deep breathes to try and get back into a normal breathing pattern.

Yes you can. My dr put me on the generic form of Prozac. She said to take it one week before I get my period and that's it. I've researched it and many people do it. She prescribed the lowest dosage for me and I don't feel like it did much. I going to try getting a higher dosage and see if it helps.
My pms has gotten ridiculously worse since I had DD2. Terrible. Ask your dr about it.

Yes I get this. I go for from super anxious for no reason at all or super angry and no patience for anyone or anything.
IF the anxiety is bad where its like a panic attack then I take half a xanax (its 0.25 so half of that) takes the edge off for me without being drowsy. But I only take it if Im so anxious that Im panicking and uncomfortable. Like I cant get through my day.
