anxiety leaving DC?
Did anyone get anxiety when having to leave their DC home? I so far went to dinner with my mother and sister (dh stayed home), went to work for a day to fill in for someone (dh stayed home) and now my mom offered to babysit so DH and I can go out for a little. I said yes at first, but this morning I changed my mind and told her forget it. I just can't leave him yet... When I went out with my mom n sis, I almost felt (tmi) like throwing up. This morning, SAME THING! My stomach started turning just thinking about it. I hope this feeling goes away He is only a month old, btw.

Re: anxiety leaving DC?
It gets easier, but do what makes you feel comfortable
I was ok with leaving him for a short time to run an errand or something, but hate the idea of him sleeping out.
I went to the city to stay with a friend for a night last month when he was 13 months. That was the first time. He was also at our house with DH so I was ok with it. I'm getting better with that

Not crazy. I don't think it was anxiety, but I work full time so the time I have with my son means a lot, but I also realize the time I need for myself, me and DH and with friends is also important. Like I said... the first 2 months I didn't want to leave him, but after that I was ok with it. DH and I have gone out a lot, but DS also goes to sleep at 7PM so I still get to put him to sleep

Re: anxiety leaving DC?
i had to leave dd when she was 10 days old. i had to be readmitted to the hospital and i got very bad anxiety. it should get easier. you should try having your mom watch her and just going out for a short time. it will be good for you-but when you are ready

Re: anxiety leaving DC?
when DS was 16 days old, i left him for the first time and it was agony. DH and I went to dinner and a movie and I couldnt wait to get home to him.
now at 14 weeks, I love the alone time with DH! im back to work full-time so leaving DS isnt as hard anymore - im used to it. I still get SO excited to go home to him but leaving isnt as hard any longer

Re: anxiety leaving DC?
I don't get anxiety leaving her with DH or my parents or sister. In fact I need it to keep my sanity!
The only thing giving me anxiety is the thought of daycare- she's so young and I hate the thought of it, but we have no choice.
