Any advice??
On Friday night we are going on vacation for a week! YEAH!!!
We are driving to NC with 8.5 month old DS to spend a week in a house on the beach.
For those of you who have driven long distances with babies, do you have any advice or suggestions? I have a massive list made and we are thinking about driving through the night so DS can sleep through it.
Any suggestions or BTDT advice is greatly appreciated!

Re: Any advice??
We drove to NY from NC and then back again (we live in NC) when DS was 2 months. We drive through the night so he would sleep the whole ride. It was the best thing we could have done.
What I did was his normal bedtime routine and put him to sleep in his carseat. Then we hit the road. He slept the entire way. DH and I shared the driving so that we could each get some sleep!
Have a great time. What beach are you heading to?

Re: Any advice??
Drive thru the night.
We have also stopped over night and drove during their naps since we figured getting to NC after a all night drive would leave us tired and the boys rested and we could not rest anyway, so we left in the afternoon at their nap time, drove 6 hours, some sleeping and some awake and then slept over night and left bright and early in the morning and got to NC at noon and were not tired and started the vacation right away.
The second seems to work for us since DH works at 4 am and we tend to leave after he has worked an 8 hour shift so he would be too tired. He has a stick and won't teach me so I can't d any of the driving either.
another thing that helped was a dvd player for them.
