This is what I was hoping for too.
I really want the 18-200mm VR lens and now that I was willing to spend the $$ on it they made a new model and now it is $850
What lens are you looking for?

Not sure just yet. But on my hot list
24-70mm f/2.8
70-200mm VR f/2.8
May "settle" for 18-200mm VR but not sure this is what I REALLY want.

Between the 24-70mm and the 70-200mm VR, I told DH I was going to "bank" on my presents for a few years. I told him NOT to buy me anything. That's what I want and to get it for me when I have reached the $$$ I banked. Maybe 15 years or so.
