Any Department Store fans from 30+years ago?
I am having memories of going on department store trips with my family... I am pretty sure they were all on Long Island. These are memories I have under 8 so don't mind these crazy descriptions...
One department store had an escalator that took you to a david's cookies. I remember it was darkish with neon lighting and it was exciting lol and we got cookies.
Another department store was so long and packed with clothes but they had a mcdonalds inside of it. it was literally a door, next to racks of clothing and you walk in and it was a semi-full service mcdonalds.
If anyone remembers these please help me figure out where and what they were... or just confirm you remember it too. thanks! It will help me feel less crazy.

The Sears in Hicksville had a McDonald's in it. That's all I've got.

I remember Sears in Hicksville had a McDonald’s on the ground floor, not sure if that’s what you’re thinking of.

There used to be David's Cookies inside various Macy's stores.
"Of the 150 stores, 31 are in Manhattan and are company-owned. The rest, spread unevenly across the country, either are owned by territorial franchisees or are operated by department store employees in such places as Macy's. "

That may have been in Roosevelt field.

Yeah, I remember David’s cookies being in Macy’s. And I was thinking Roosevelt field around the time it was getting redone 1994-95, possibly before getting redone, but I could be wrong?
Would that fit your time frame and location?

Yes, I remember them both. Macy's with David's cookies and Sears in Hicksville with McDonald's.

I remember the pickles at Shopper's Village in the early 90s lol. It was such a big day out to go, get a pickle, and walk around the store.

Tri County Flea Market in Levittown had this little stand near the back entrance that made these mini donuts... you could watch them be made by the automatic machine that would drop the batter in the oil, cook them, flip them and move them along this little assembly line until finished Then they would put them in a bag and sprinkle with powdered sugar. OMG such a treat when we went there!
