any doctors/nurses here? MRI related...
I've had this pressure in my left temple area for MONTHS now, along with tension in my neck. I've had MRI of the brain, neck/shoulder. I'm currently seeing a neurologist and getting these trigger point injections in my neck/back muscle once/week. Just when I thought this pressure in my head was getting better, it came back yesterday- it's driving me nuts( like at times I think I'm ready to drive myself to the ER ) If my MRI came back showing nothing abnormal, does the MRI pick up EVERYTHING? Arteries and all? I think the worst as if I have an aneurysm going on in there. sorry...I'm just at my wits end with this discomfort not knowing exactly what it is.

Actually to REALLY see the vessels for aneurysms, you would need an MRA (magnetic resonance angiography)

When you had the MRI, did they inject the dye into you? This "highlights" the vessels and what not to make sure the blood is flowing properly and you have no blockages.

My DD's MRI of her brain showed a bloodvessle that they need to watch. She is having problems with her left arm and leg. The blood vessle deal was a bonus gift
I hope you find some answers soon

no, it was a no contrast MRI.
I found this forum on headaches/tension/perimenopause related stuff and it's crazy the types of headaches/pressure etc... that people can get and some very similar symptoms to what I'm experiencing.
Thanks all- I'll see what the neuro. dr says on Thurs.

I say you should request an MRI/MRA with contrast.
