I just went today to get DS's adenoids checked plus he has the tongue tie.
I used Dr. Mendelsohn from Pediatric ENT. He is affiliated with LIJ, Schneiders and a few others. His office is in Garden City but they have a few more offices in Queens and LI. Here is the link:

someone referred me to LI ENT - they were great, we saw Dr. Schindahar (SP?) and he was very nice...quick but thorough visit...i'll fm u w/his number if u want it :)

Gavin has a follow-up with Mendelsohn tonight! Was JUST going to recommend him....he's very good and very patient!
