Re: Any hiking moms out there?
i have an old one from LLBean, and the KELTY Pathfinder.
We got tons of use out of it, hiking locally. We also took the pathfinder pack out west with us when my son was 18 months, and it was great. I liked the fact it had a sun shade that went over his head....he would fall asleep in it!
Holds up to 40 pounds, so we plan on using it again this spring/summer. Figure our son can start out walking, then he'll WANT to jump into the pack when he gets tired :)

we have the older version of the chicco one, but DH used it more than me. We stopped using it at about 2 - probably more out of laziness.

Re: Any hiking moms out there?
I just read an article about this. I will try and find it. They said most are built for men to wear, so they are not comfy for women, but there is one in particulr that is geared towards women.
