Re: any holiday craft ideas?
what about a salt ornament that he paints and you cut with a cookie cutter??
sweatshirts with his handprints making a tree???
photo calendar or photo book?? (you can add in "art" he has made!)
not really crafty but a talking photo frame with him saying something to them???
i'll keep thinking....

Re: any holiday craft ideas?
red envelope sells a stepping stone that you can personalize when you get it - handprints, footprints, words, whatever.
I'm sure you can get one elsewhere too - maybe AC moore?

Re: any holiday craft ideas?
whenever I need some crafty inspiration, I always go to Michaels craft store and walk around. They always have some seasonal stuff set up with ideas.
They have canvas tote bags that you could have him decorate and give to them. They could use it as a "green bag" when they go grocery shopping.

Re: any holiday craft ideas?
For the past 2 years my kids make their grandparents ornaments. So far they've been really simple. I get a flat wooden shape from Michael's (the first year was circles, last year was bells) and I drill a small hole at the top. Then they paint them with glitter paint I picked up at a teacher store. Once it dries I glue on a recent picture, write the year on the back and use twine to make a hanger for it. The grandparents love them, and the kids get so excited to give them out. It's cute to see how much better they get at covering the whole ornament and less gloppy each year.

How about a magnet for the fridge? you can paint a heart, xmas tree whatever , decorate it and hot glue a magnet in the back. They sell tons of wodden things you can paint at ac moore or michaels.
