any huntington moms?
my cousin lives in huntington, and the house two doors down from her is on the market - it needs some work, but is totally move in condition, and I love it. Lots more property than I have now...and an eat in kitchen...BUT of course it's more money and a further commute to work. (Much further, 40 minutes instead of 5 for both me and DH, AND 40 minutes further from grandparents who babysit) BUT a much better, safer neighborhood.....anyway,, obviously a big decision, just wondering, any huntington moms with any insight on living there - good or bad? thanks!! (ps me and my cousin are very close, and she is my 6 weeks old's god mother...)

What area of Huntington is it? There are good and bad areas in Huntington - how does your cousin like it?

I agree. Depending on the area. Did you check out the school districts?

I think it's called Southdown section? My cousin is two doors down and has a view of the water - it's definitely a nice area. She loves it, I just wanted to get some other points of view from people who live in huntington too.

If you stay north of 25A, I'd say you'll be sitting pretty!

Re: any huntington moms?
i live in huntington and know the area. we are in a nice area as you enter the village. our block is awesome its a quiet block with no through traffic. we haev a house on our block for sale too. they dont last long on our block usually go offthe market in 2-4 weeks. we bought our house 2 years ago and already a house sold for 100k more and we have alot of extras they dont. plus they are building 5 new houses a block over so that will help with property values.
