Any ideas???
I have to do a demo lesson tommorrow for 3, 4, and 5th graders in Math. I am going for an Sp Ed. 3rd grade inclusion position. The students have some literacy issues thats why they are attending summer school... Any ideas please help????? Something multisensory perhps

will you be the special ed. piece of the inclusion room? if so, they will expect that you make it multi-sensory. math is so easy to do this way. find on what manipulatives they have that you could use (play money, place value blocks, tangram pieces, fraction bars, etc.)
sp. ed. kids NEED kinesthetic and visual. use a poster, highlighters. keep your directions consise and your language consistent.
did they give you a topic they want you to teach? that might help us help you better because math is sooo broad.

What about something using word problems form the State assement and looking and re teaching clue words which indicate the operation needed? Or crossing out information that is not needed?
