Any ideas? DD is getting up 1-2 times a night still?

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get Taylor to not get up so early in the morning? She's up at least once, lately twice to eat? It's been around 3-4am sometimes 2 and 4am and it's just killing me. I can't get up in the morning for work. Chat Icon Since it's 1-2 hours before I'm suppose to be up, I mean to lay down for just a little longer since I'm so tired and it's still early and then I don't get up on time and then it's a horrible morning to say the least. It's making me late for work almost everyday and I can't do that. Any thoughts? She's almost 4.5 months old. Thanks!

DS did this too, my ped had told me he was waking out of habit and to just cut out the night feeding, it took a little while but he finally got it. I think this was at 5 months old.

At 4.5 months old, she's probably still hungry.

I know it's rough when you have to work, but that's life with a newborn, kwim?

DS is 7.5 months and still gets up at least once per night, (usually between 4-4:30am), I have to get up with DD at 6:30. It sucks, but it is what it is. I was spoiled with DD as she STTN at 9 weeks.

DS is about the same age as your little one.. just about 4 months. He was STTN for several weeks and then about 3 weeks ago, started waking up 1-2x a night. I try soothing him first... sometimes he falls asleep, and sometimes he doesn't. When he doesn't, I BF him and he falls right back asleep. I think they are definitely still hungry at this point, especially if you are BF.

Do you think she is actually hungry? If so, maybe try giving her a dream-feed before you go to bed. If not, you could start by watering down the bottle you're giving her, to make it less palatable for her, and also by decreasing the amount you're giving her. This is what I had to do with my eldest DD. But I'm pretty sure she was older at that point...more around 7-8 months. At 4.5 months, I'm more inclined to say she might actually be hungry.

How much does she eat during the day? How big is she? I think at this age, she should only need one night feeding, at the most. When is her last bottle/nursing?

My DS ate his last bottle around 9:30 at that age and slept until 5:30. Gradually that last feeding was earlier (by 8:00) and he slept a bit later (6:30-7:00) by about 6 months.

GL! I went back to work when my baby was 4 months and it was hard at first!! I had DH get up too- once I was off maternity leave, we switched off.
