Any ideas for Hostess gift ?
Mybest friend and husband are having a cocktail party at their newly renovated home...theyare catering the event and would think plenty of great wine and great food
Any suggestions what to get them ?
They are doing well financially...they can buy whatever they need...
I thought...pretty monogrammed dish towels made of linen (but don't know where in NYC to get them) or flowers to be sent on the day of party ....I think her house is French provincial/Town & country look....
I have 2 weeks to get this !

a hanging basket of flowers, expensive wine, huge bo-k of flowers, a house plant, their favorite liquor (ie: Grey Goose), etc...

I saw the absolute cutest thing yesterday at SIL's bridal shower-- someone got from Williams Sonoma rubber spatuals and other kitcen utensils with the wooden handle-- the wooden handle was personalized- "Andrea & Jared's Kitchen"-- very adorable.
ETA: I found them online-- they come in different colors Williams Sonoma
Also, my go to house warming gift from Williams Sonoma as well is the Ginger Almond scented stuff-- hand soap, kitchen candle and room freshner- you can put everything together and make a nice little gift package/

My friend is super organized so I think there will be plenty of wine and food...
I think I would like to avoid anything edible...beside she won't be able to imbib in liquor since she is TTC.(and dont want to tempt her !)

i love things from horchow- you should browse their website
crate and barrel also has cute things for hostess gifts like hurricane lamps for outside dining
i bought myself a cute tealight holder than sits around your umbrella pole on your dining table-my mom loved it and bought herself one
picture frames are good too

What about a subscription to a cooking magazine or real simple.....My sister got me a cooking mag subscription with a platter for xmas.

I like flowers. When I have people over I try to have fresh flowers in the house - and it's always nice to have a pretty arangement.

As someone who hosts a lot of parties, I would love to receive a pretty floral arrangement the day of. We received one at Christmas and I loved it. Looked great on one of the food tables.
I also like to bring a bottle of wine with me.

Definitely check Red envelope.com, and also William Sonoma website.
How about a personalized wind chime? Not sure if they would like that.
Also Lillian Vernon has a personalized Stainless Steel Beverage Tub that you can fill with the drinks/wine that they love plus some apple cider/or any non-alcoholic drinks for her since she's TTC. Here is the link and picture.
