Any ideas for nautical themed rooms?
We got the Nautica sailboat bedding and I've seen some other ideas here and there, but I was just looking for something different where you walk in the room and you're like, "How cute!". So, if you have any pics saved, please share.

Re: Any ideas for nautical themed rooms?
I actually never finishd my sons nautical themed room and he will be a year in 2 months. Anyway, I have a life preserver that the is navy and white with the rope around it and on the top it says Luka and the bottom says U.S.A. , I was going to hang this over his crib. I then found on PBK (not sure if they still have it) an oar that was actually a height stick that you attach to the wall and you could have it personalized. I was also going to get some fisherman's netting and use that as a valance with some twill curtains under it. Let me see if I can find the link of his room again it was never completed nursey. Their is also a website I think called Naticual decorations. If you do a search on naticual rooms it will come up and it has some really cute accessories for children's rooms but they are a little pricey. That is where I got his pictures and the lamp is from PBK. Hope this helps.

We actually registered for the Nautica set and then saw this one the other night. I thought it was so cute and considered switching so I brought the wall hangings home. I was so disappointed. They were horribly made. They were all crooked and had badly made seems and white threads were sticking out all over the place.
The blue in the Nautica set is the same blue as our bedroom, so it was a llittle much with both rooms next to each other. So we did the walls kahki, and then we have white wainscotting, and put in navy carpeting. The furniture is a medium colored wood. I'll post pics one day when we actually have some stuff in it. I just have nothing to put on the walls...

That s*cks. It looked really cute hanging up on the wall display, but I didnt really check it out b/c we already have our bedding. I would look at the set from Pottery Barn, that one looks really nice.
