Any Moms have a baby after 40?
Just curious, if you had a baby after 40- did you conceive naturally, with an IUI or IVF? And if it was your second child, how hard was pregnancy or labor compared to the first child?
My 2.5 year old DD was conceived via FET and IF we are lucky enough to have another it will mostly be from a FET (only 1 embryo left though) or a new IVF cycle.

my supervisor had a baby last year, 41 and she said labor and delivery was easier the second time. But thats normal even if under 40. I believe she conceived naturally

Any Moms have a baby after 40?
We got married when I was 40 and I had my daughter at 42. It was a totally unexpected pregnancy. It was fabulous and I had no issues. I ended up with a c section, but recovered fine. I went into menopause about a year or two later, so we only have the one.
I feel if it happens, it happens. But I don’t think pregnancy is bad at 40.

Re: Any Moms have a baby after 40?
Everyone is different.
My last pregnancy (third child) was just before 40 and my FET did not work so I had 1 embryo that looked decent from a fresh cycle (last time I had at least 4 great embryos). It does only take 1. Pregnancy was not great. I had a placenta previa and a bleed. Bed rest for a nice part of it. But that wasn’t due to age.
Labor was weird. I never really went into labor well. She delivered suddenly on my second induction (first elective at full term, second urgent due to low fluid).
I did get unexpectedly pregnant one last time after all that... but it resulted in a MC after heartbeat seen and all. OB thought genetic issues. It wasn’t fun and was an emotion roller coaster
Age makes a difference but that difference is person dependent. I’ve known people who had kids past their 50s... and others who went into menopause at 35. My OB suggested heavily that my last was my last for me because of my body not responding to meds. He thought it could be unsafe for me to do it again. I’m fine with that.
Good luck

Re: Any Moms have a baby after 40?
I had my 3rd after 40. My husband is in a wheelchair so we had to do Infertility treatments. I did not do well with IVF so we just did inseminations. I started the process when I was 38 and finally got pregnant 3 months before my 40th birthday. It was my best pregnancy!
