Any new mommies here?
I have a 3 week old and I am getting ready to get back into working out.
I would love to do it when DD is sleeping (which is not often), but that's been the only time I get anything done around the house.
I guess I am going to need to get creative.
How do you ladies fit it in?

Re: Any new mommies here?
honestly, all I have been doing is going for a nice long walk---DS naps in the stoller & my dog gets his exercise......I would love to do more, I think I will be able to once he has a bit more of a set schedule, right now its so hit or miss with naps and me getting good solid sleep that I'm just not up for more

Re: Any new mommies here?
yeah that is about all I have been up to.
I guess I just want to fit into my summer clothes, rather than having to buy new stuff I need to firm up big time!

Re: Any new mommies here?
When DS was that young I went on long walks up and down hills. I put him in the sling/ergo and climbed steps. I went to mommy and me pilates classes once a week. Now that he is older (11 mths) and takes 2 good naps a day I work out during his naps. I alternate between Yoga, Pilates and my series of Firm DVD's.

Re: Any new mommies here?
Well, I'm not a NEW mommy, but what I did after DD was born was walk- alot. I live in Manhattan and my sister lives 27 blocks from me. About 4 days a week I would walk to her house and home. After 3 months of that, when I went back to work, I fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes. Of course, they fit differently, but I could still close all the buttons.
As a working mom of a toddler, time is still very short. I started running as a quick workout, and I see results. I run for 25 minutes before DD wakes up, and that works. Then, I do Exercise On Demand abs (but they have tons of "classes").

Re: Any new mommies here?
I'm a new mommy (DD is 7 weeks) and am finally starting to get my butt in gear and 'think' about going back to the gym. So far, I have been doing lots of walks, but I am going to start doing some toning tonight while she is napping and/or when DH is home. I have light weights and those band things. I am also going to go to mommy and me yoga. Dh also wants to wear my DD in the bjorn and do squats...I think it is a great idea so I might try it too.

Re: Any new mommies here?
at 2 weeks PP I started walking. first week 2 miles and I added 1 miles each week after that until 6 weeks PP when I started running again and felt good.
It can be done (I was a c/s!)
