My friend just found out she is pregnant. She got married in October and wasn't planning to try until at least 2006. She wanted to settle in with her husband (they didn't live together before the wedding) and enjoy being a newlywed.
She was SHOCKED, BUT her and her husband thrilled beyond belief. They are happy and a little scared but they feel like it's a gift and it was their time.

I wasn't prepared at all, I wasn't married or in to stable of a relationship at the time.
So at first I was shocked and I cried. But I totally adjusted, and accepted full responsiblity. My son is my whole world, he is 7 now.

We got married Sept 2004 and weren't planning on trying until about a year later (right about now). I got pregnant in December. 
I had JUST gotten my dream job the day we tested and found out I was PG. At first, we were in total shock...not happy and not sad. As time went on, we got more and more excited, bought a house, and are all ready for the arrival of our baby.

I was not supposed to get PG so quickly. I had gone to a fertility doctor and my OBGYN had both told me it will not happen without drugs and homone treatments. THey told me to try for a year and see what happens. Two months after getting off the pill i got PG. I was shocked but really happy.

We definitely were not trying. We got married July 31, 2004 and got pg 4 weeks later. It was totally my fault... I screwed up with the pill. Honestly, I was not happy about it bc we always taked about waiting 2yrs when he finished law school. I was more terrified about how I was going to tell DH and what his reaction would be. Let's just say that he was less than thrilled.
After the shock wore off, I was looking forward to it. I don't think I truly enjoyed being pg bc it put a strain on our relationship and it took DH a LONG time to be comfortable with the idea of having a kid.
Fast forward to today and we are so happy to have Nate in our lives. I am so amazed when I see DH and Nate together. He's a totally different man. He's even said that he never knew he'd feel this way and can't image life without him now.

I found out I was pregnant in November 04' and it was a huge shock, especially since our wedding was planned for May 05'. We ended up having a small ceremony in January and keeping our big wedding in May. While we were incredibly surprised and overwhelmed, we were also thrilled. We intended on having children right away anyway, so we just got a little more of a head start than we expected.

I def. wasnt planning...
I had just gotten engaged in October...which was a BIG shock to begin with... We planned our wedding for 2 yrs. to the date (10/27/06) and I was wedding obsessed...(a little bit of bridezilla...im not gonna lie)
In January I had gotten sick..I was put on antibiotics..and by Februsary my pd. just didnt arrive... Turns out you cant take medicine while you're on the pill... who knew
I didnt even tell DH that my pd was late..(I didnt think I was pg... if anything I thought something was medically wrong) I went with my best friend to BURGER KING (pathetic right?) and took a EPT test...( i figured Id take the test it would come out neg. and my stress would be gone and AF would arrive)
I will NEVER forget my friends face... (I hadnt even picked up my pants yet ) I remember thinking to myself..."why does she look so sad?"
When everything clicked...I screamed cried through myself on the floor... Just saying "what am I gonna do??? My wedding my wedding!"
The shock was overwhelming... what was even worse that I had dinner reservations with DH and his parents that night... I had to go directly from there (this was rough considering DH had no clue) To be honest I dont remember where we ate that night... anything I said..its all a blur... (was I even there??? lol)
Thank God for DH...he was so wonderful, so happy, and as I sat there and cried he just looked at me and said... "this is a good thing"
I had no idea how everyone was gonna take it... how everything would work out...living arrangements, financials, the WEDDING...
GUess what everything did...and I still dont know how things will work sometimes...but somehow they always do...
I do feel guilty sometimes about the way I reacted... because now Im so in love with this little baby...and he's not even here yet!!!

Me and my DH decided to officially "TRY"... since i was concerned that maybe it could take a while to get PG. So i bought the ovulation kit, determined when i would be ovulating, Baby Danced ONE NITE ONLY and here i am 4 months pregnant!! I couldnt believe it, he was totally shocked, he said "I thought you said this could take a while!" haha.. I said yes, in some cases it does, but I guess your boys are good swimmers and I am one fertile girl.
Then we got excited, and he started bragging about his little swimmers...haha ..men..., and now as it gets closer i am starting to get nervous!!!!

Hey Ladies,
thank you so much for sharing these stories with me...it means a lot!
I took an EPT last night, and it came out negative... so hopefully AF will arrive soon. I mean I would love to have a childe, but since DH and I are in cotract with a home right now, its going to be a lot of overhead for us, and I dont think I can afford both right now, although come this time next year (when I'm more adjusted) I will be TTC...
