Any Pictures of Separating 2 rooms?
We are trying to figure out what to do to seperate our living room and kitchen/dining room. Do we just put the paint next to each other or is there a way to seperate the rooms that doesn't look weird? If anyone has pictures of their homes, I would really appreciate getting an idea for mine. Thanks!

Someone had a picture of hanging curtains on either side of the walls to seperate rooms...they were thick like velvet or something.

I can't separate the room like that though as it is just a small open ranch that has the living room and the dining room/kitchen right next to it.

That was us.
My DH spent a lot of time to separate the living room from our dining room in our hi-ranch. I love it, but it did make things appear smaller after. He bought molding to hang down the side to the wall between the two room, plus put in crown molding with a hidden curtain rod so that we can hang drapes. Here's what it looks like.
This is what it looked like when we moved in:

MamanDaddy:
Don't mean to hijack, but what color is that in your LR? I've been trying to get a golden/yellowish color that I like but no luck yet, until I saw your pic.

It is similiar to that but the living room just flows into the kitchen, there is no opening and no walls dividing the rooms. Very nice though!

OMG I absolutely love the colors and the way you seperated the rooms. What color flooring do you have in your living room?

We have hard wood that we had refinished. No stain, just polyurethane. Here it is right after we had it done:
We do have an area rug there now with a coffee table.
