Any places that you can walk in for xmas pics?
Or do places like Target, etc, even need an appt?

A lot of places accept walkins-just a matter of timing. Sears, target, picture people-they all do but you would have less chance of getting in on a weekend.
I would go for a Tuesday or a Wednesday and go early.
