aww - congrats!
do you have any preferences in terms of food? like steak or italian?
and you don't mind traveling anywhere - so, all of suffolk and nassau is good?

cassis in huntington
it's loud and crowded, yet manages to be romantic and intimate... and the food is amazing!
In NYC, Ivo and LuLu A cash only, reasonably priced, BYOB carribean fusion restaurant. very small, very dark and romantic... and once again, amazing food!

Re: any recommendations for an anniversary dinner Friday night
We had a beuatiful anniversary dinner at 21 Main in Sayville, a steakhouse.
Food was delicious and so was the whole atmoshere. It was but it was for our anniversary and we don't eat out all the time, so it was fine for us.

Favorite Mexican spot is Don Ricardo's in Babylon village - great atmosphere!
Seafood - Captain Bills in Bayshore, on the water and everything.
Italian - we love Ciao Baby (we go to the one in Massapequa) and also love Mama's (a little Italian joint in Copiague on Merrick Road).
Oh, can't forget Cafe Bacci for Italian either. It's by the Source Mall.
New Orleans style food - not really romantic but food is amazing - Big Daddy's in Massapequa on Sunrise Highway
PF Chang's has good aisain fusion type food. Ambiance is dark so it's easy to have an intimate dinner. But they are on the chain side.
Sooooo many great restaurants on Long Island. And although it isn't the nicest weather can't go wrong heading down the Nautical Mile. There are amazing restaurants along the whole strip. Otto's is one of our favs.
