Any scoop on Verizon getting the iphone?
anyone heard anything? My verizon contract runs out in October and DH is dying for an iphone, I'm hoping we hear something before we have to switch to at&t.

OK I did some research. At&T contract with Apple is up in 2010. Verizon has been in talks with Apple for about a year now. The problem being that Verizon has to upgrade their network to be able to support the phone but Apple also has to redesign the inner works of the IPhone in order to work with Verizon? Something like that. I'm not a tech person. Basically both companies have to get their act together if they want this to happen. Of course AT&T does not want to see this happen but more and more people are complaining about their coverage...it stinks they say.

In the US the contract is for 5 years. The Iphone came out June 29, 2007.
Anything could change I suppose but that's how it stands right now.
