Any SIRM-NY Patients?

Hi ladies,

I am 43 and hoping to do my very first cycle with Dr. Tortoriello and SIRM-NY in September...does anyone here go there? If so...what have been your experiences thus far? I really liked him when I did my consult and they had a fabulous success rates for ladies 40-42.

Re: Any SIRM-NY Patients?

I don't go to SIRM but Dr. Tortoriello was my RE when I did IVF at Columbia 3 years ago. I really liked him. I recently read a lot of great things about him. Good luck!

I went there for my retrieval and transfer when Braverman was with them. Dr. T did both procedures and I loved him. He is great and has a great bedside manner. I got pregnant too!

Thank you ladies...this all makes me feel even better. I got a REALLY good feeling when I met with Dr. T...I've also heard amazing things about Dr. B...I think that says something about the facility that they would have a well respected like Dr. B working there too.

Jacquig- I had no idea that he was originally at Columbia...I am leavng them and I don't have too many good things to say about them...thank goodness you told me this so that I don't offend Dr. T!!

Curious- GL to you...I think that you will love Dr. T!!

SecretTTCer- Congrats!!! That makes me feel really good to hear.

FlowerWife- I like their offices too and just from the little bit that I can gather...Dr. T seems like a very nice man.

Dr. B used to work for SIRM. he told me he likes their practice but didnt like that its run as a corporation centralized out of Las Vegas. he said it restricted the types of protocols he could do because it was corporate.
he did say he worked with Dr. T and liked him a lot, and that they still work together sometimes.

Yes he was referred to me by a coworker. He was really nice. I don't really have too much to say about Columbia since I only did one cycle there that resulted in DD. We were actually going to try to use Dr. T again this time but SIRM is not part of United HC Center of Excellence for my insurance so we would have to go out of pocket. Good Luck!Chat Icon

Hi,
It's funny you mentioned SIRM-NY but I actually went into the city this morning and had my first consultation with Dr. T. I and 28 and have elevated FSH and did a lot of reserach online that he's very high FSH friendly. After my consultation, I left with a great vibe about him and the office. This was my third consultation with a RE and he made me feel the most comfortable about my high FSH issue.
I will be interested in hearing what the ladies have to say about the facility and Dr. T as well.

BBMaking- I got the same impression when I met him. I can't explain it...but I had a GREAT feeling about him....I also liked the energy of the office too if that makes sense. I'm waiting to see if GHI approves my IVF...if they do..I'm hoping to cycle with him this September. Having met him, I feel so hopeful. If this cycle is a bust...and of course I pray that I am preggers as we speak...at least I feel good knowing that I switched to a excellent facility and Dr.

SecretTTC- LOL...you know what...he is easy on the eyes...I would HATE to think that this has colored some of our feelings about him Chat Icon
