Any suggestions on how to make a nonnapper nap?
DS started daycare on Monday at my stepmothers house. He's almost 5 months and just will not nap. My first DS was the best napper and I know that I shouldnt compare but I can't believe the baby refuses to take any naps. My stepmother has other children she takes care of and I understand that she will be frustrated very soon with him if he doesnt get into some routine. Any ideas???

I had a non napper, he didn't have a nap until he was 10 months old and very mobile. There was NOTHING that I could do to make him nap. He naps at home for an hour or two, but at daycare he only naps for maybe 20 minutes, 40 minutes, an hour if they are super lucky!
I have no further suggestions!!

Have you tried white noise, or the lavender lotion.. it worked for us and then I just eliminated it...

I had a non napper for a long time too...what worked for me was letting her sleep on the couch with the fan on in the kitchen...she always naps for 1 1/2 that way, If I change her routine she will only sleep for about 30 mins!
So white noise, or driving her around the block until she falls asleep or pushing her in her stroller has been the only things that worked for us.
