Any suggestions on sleepingin a pack n play?
We spent the last two weekends at MIL's house out on LI and DS slept in his pack N play. He did great the first night, but other two nights he woke up 2-3 times a night. He is a mover when he sleeps and I think he's disrupted when he moves around on the "mattress".
Any ideas/thoughts/suggestions? We're going to my dad's for 5days/4 nights over Easter and DS will be sleeping in his PNP. I would like to prevent these frequent wakings if we can.
PS He sleeps 12 hrs uninterrupted at home (in his crib). There is no one by my dad (S Carolina) that we can borrow a crib from.
TIA!!
Do you think having a sheet on the "mattress" would make a difference? We do not have one on there now.

why don't you rent one from a company down there--(a crib) I saw some rental truck for baby stuff when I was in outerbanks/ my son slept in a pack and play for months and always woke up--i am wondering if it was noisy now.. he sleeps find in the crib now too.

I thought about renting one, and looked it up last time we went down (in Oct) and had no luck finding a company. Will try to look up again. Thanks

Re: Any suggestions on sleepingin a pack n play?
We have a PNP at my moms house and we sleep over sometimes there. Im not sure if this helps DD or not, but she sleeps uninterrupted at night. We do have a sheet on there, also, I have the mattress from my PNP that my mom uses also and then we use a pillow too..so we have a mattress, pillow to prop her up a little bit, and then the mattress with the sheet on it..hth

We have a pack and play mattress pad and a sheet on ours...my dd slept well on it this weekend (her first time)...it didn't make a lot of noise when she moved around either...

Put a sheet on it and that will help.
When we went away the last time I brought a nice, cushy blanket that Christopher likes too...plus his blankie and he was comfy.

We have a sheet and I also layed his comforter (from his bedding) down. It helps make it a little softer. It worked for 2 nights when he wasn't feeling well and Im going to be doing it again when we go away in a couple of weeks.

Where did you put the comforter? I am terrified b/c DS sleeps with NOTHING in his crib (he's almost 10 mos).
Would I put that under the sheet?

Try and cushion the PNP as much as possible. Maybe the matress is just too hard and not comfy enough so DC is having a hard time getting comfortable again.
You can try and tuck the comforter under the PNP matress.

I bought a down alternative twin comforter...I fold it up and put a flannel crib sheet over it, its so much more comfy.
