Any teacher pass the ATP-S Video even though things didn't go right???

I just taped the video yesterday and after watching it I saw things I didn't see during the lesson.

One kid was dancing in his chair and some got out of their seats.



Other things I saw and corrected: One kid was bouncing a ball


Other kids calling out.

Some complaining that the marker I was writing with was to light,



I prepped these kids for a week and 20 minutes right before.

I have no choice but to send this in because I waited until the deadline to submit it.

I know I am going to fail!


These kids just cost me $145.00


Added: Now I need to find a new lesson to do with second grade. I am going to tape it now so when they tell me I failed I will have one ready to send out.

I am losing my job in two weeks and I have no idea hwere I will be in Septemer so I better tape a good lesson now.


Any ideas???

I would wait to see if you passed - consensus is that they only watch a handful of the tapes anyway. Also, it doesn't sound like anything went terribly wrong, just sounds like a typical class in June!


ETA: I just realized you said that you don't know where you will be in September so you are re-taping to be safe. Do Writer's Workshop. My kids love it and are always very engaged during that time. Or science is always a high interest subject - planting? life cycles? Good luck!!!!

Maybe descriptive or figurative language - my kids love that. Adding titles to works is also something they enjoy.

I was thinking of figurative language. That is always fun!


Are the words figurative and literal too hard for 2nd grade??

I had to do my video for elementary ed in a special ed setting. Everything that could go wrong, DID go wrong. I think classroom management counts too. I passed. You'll be fine.
