Any tips on how to get Pee from my son?
We have to submit a cup of urine from my son for some testing. Anyone have some tips on how to do this other than to have him walk around naked (keep in mind he can't walk yet)?

I suppose. But i don't have a potty seat. Plus Jacen isn't the best at just sitting around these days.
Maybe i'll ask Kim to borrow Tylers.
It's either that or make him walk on ice cubes.

They didn't give you a bag to collect the urine? I don't know how it works with boys, but when DD's needed her urine tested for UTI/kidney issues, they put on (or give you to put on at home) a plastic bag that attaches to their surronding skin with adhesive...it catches the urine in a sterile environment that way.

I would call the doctor and ask for a bag that you put in the diaper that collects the urine. I don't know how they expect you to get it from him otherwise.

 Darn, I'm no help then, sorry!! Good luck, wear a wetsuit while doing the collection in case he hoses you

You can get a pediatric collection bag(the one with adhesive) at most medical supply places. IMO its the only way.

Well when i went to the lab to get it, wouldn't they have given me the pediatric one if they had it? I said he was 1 years old. Grrrr...
ETA: well i just called the lab and they don't have any. So i have to pick one up at the hospital which is half hour away.

My son will always pee while I get his bath ready, I know this since a few times I took his diaper off before the bath was ready. I would go into the bath room get him ready and run the bath water. Hopefully the running water will help him go.

I was going to say the same thing. They needed one when my DS was small and we got the bag.

When DS was about 6 months old, we had to get pee from him. The ped gave us these plastic adhesive bag things that went around his genitals. Does your ped have those to give you?
