Any tips on preventing a meltdown every time I try to wipe his face or nose?
I have tried giving him a cloth to 'help' and singing to him

I have yet to find the trick!!!
Usually I just follow DS around with a tissue/bib/washcloth or whatever else I can get my hands on and when he is least expecting it... I go for it!!! He hates it with a passion, but it's better than the alternative which is having him wipe snot all over his face!

Nope...and it only gets worse the older my son gets. I hold him down and clean him up as fast as I can.

Yep! And i make it a game..I call it carwash and i come in with the washcloths in a side to side motion.

Do it quickly. I do the game "Im going to get you..(rub rub rub)"...LOL.
OR
"Give me that nose"..."Give me those cheeks"...etc.

FOr some reason, he loves me to sing 'My favorite things' and he lets me do anything I want to suck snot out, wash his face, etc. What was that song from? The Sound of Music?
