Any Travel Tips?
Dh and I will be traveling soon, I will be around 14.5 weeks when we fly out. Is there anything I should know before I go? I am a bit nervous to not be near my doctor (not that I antcipate problems). Is it okay to lay on the beach and snorkle and fun things like that?

I'll be in the same situation. I'm going to do all that. Although I'm afraid of snorkliing But I don't know how far your vaca is. Is it ia long plane ride. Either way, try and get an aisle seat and get up every hour just to help circulation. Keep hydrated. Oh yeah...be careful of how warm you get. It makes the baby's heart beat rise the warmer you get. Enjoy!!!

Re: Any Travel Tips?
I was on a cruise at 9-10 weeks. I went on catamarans and snorkling tours all week. my OB said no jaring things like wave runners/banana boats that type of thing - but catamaran trips and snorkling is perfectly fine.
when you get thru security get a few bottles of water - on our flight (delta) they refused to give cans out - would only give out one little glass at service time - UNLESS you wanted coke - no cans of ginger ale, sprite, juice etc.
Bring something for nausea - bands or something - I never get motion sickness but I had trouble on both flights - but not on the actual cruise.
The beach sounds very nice and relaxing - remember to bring extra fluids, sunscreen (since many burn easier).
Have a fabulous trip!

Make sure you wear and reapply sunscreen. Your skin is extra sensative to sunburn when you are pregnant.
Have fun

Re: Any Travel Tips?
Thanks for the tips! I can't wait! Now I have to find some clothes to bring...my shorts/bathingsuit from the summer just aren't an option.

Yea, just be careful on the flight...we flew at about 19 wks & at one point I got extremely hot/naseous on the flight (it was full to capacity) & almost lost it. Also be sure to walk at least once/twice & try to do leg exercises in your feet, take off your shoes. Get the water once you are through security.
Have fun!

I have to agree with the aisle seat! I flew in my second tri both pregnancies and it was actually a little painful sitting around. I would stick my legs out in the aisle as often as possible to stretch and I got up alot. I wasn't really showing, so it's amazing the stares you get when you get up and just stand there and look around.
