Re: Any Weight Watcher's Success stories here?

I would say I'm in the midst of a success story! I've lost 25lbs. since September and I am trying to lose another 15 by May. I ultimately have another 30 to lose, so fifteen ontop of what I already want to lose by May. I've found that losing it in increments is what has made me successful. I set small goals and try to meet those. On the parenting board, we're doing another challenge. Many of us are trying to lose weight, and it's really motivated me and helped me stick to my short term goals. I don't really have any before/after pictures because I wouldn't allow anyone to take my picture after the baby was born, but I feel great! I hope that helped!

Re: Any Weight Watcher's Success stories here?

I am proud to say that I have had much success with WW. I am doing it on my own online since August 1. I have totally changed my way of eating and just hit the 40 lb mark. I still have a bit more I want to lose but it definitely has worked for me.

Let me tell you...I've tried it all. And I mean EVERYTHING. I lost 70 lbs. on Atkins...and then gained 140 lbs. back.

I joined WW last May. Since then, I've lost 56.6 lbs. And the amazing part was...it was not as hard as I thought it would be. I think it's all about your mindset. I have some VERY bad habits that need to be broken. It's not just about changing what you eat, it's about changing the behaviors that CAUSE you to eat unnecessarily.

I do have before and after pictures... Sometimes I look at that before picture and can't believe I ever let it come to that...

Best of luck to you!!! Chat Icon

I too believe its not food in and of itself that makes us overweight. It is our relationship with food.

Re: Any Weight Watcher's Success stories here?

This is the second time I've been on WW. Both because of having children. The first time I worked out for 8+ months 5 days a week and I couldn't lose a pound. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I went to the doctor, got blood drawn and everything. Everything came back fine. Well, at that point I joined WW. It was the best thing I ever did. I lost 50lbs. in 5 months. It was awesome. It's the best weight loss plan I've ever tried. I eat fast food, pizza, etc a lot. As long as you count all the points you will lose weight. I'm a firm believer in it. It works!!! Right when I became a lifetime member I got PG with my 2nd baby. Since his birth I started WW again at the end of October and I've lost 30 lbs. I'm losing it a bit slower this time around because I'm not being as good as I was the first time around. I've also taken 2 weeks off around the holidays and 1 week or so at another time due to stress, so during those times I gained some weight, or I didn't lose anything at all. I'm trying to do better right now. I have about 17 lbs. to go. This time around I haven't worked out at all, and I'm BF'ing so I'm sure my weight loss is affected by that as well. WW is wonderful as long as you stick with the plan! You'll see! Chat Icon

Re: Any Weight Watcher's Success stories here?

Beth, you look great!

I am a WW success story. I lost 27 pounds in 6 months doing WW with my DH and best friend. I did not attend the meetings but obtained all the info from my friend (who did go to the meetings). I lost the weight for my wedding last Nov. I've gained back about 8 pounds by not following the plan AT ALL and have recently started up again. I think it's a wonderful plan that can be successful for almost anyone.

If these pics work, here's my before and after.

Re: Any Weight Watcher's Success stories here?

I joined WW Jan 2003 with DH. From Jan 2003 till the day we moved to FL (April for him May for Me 2004) he lost over 50 pounds and I lost 30.

We moved to FL and I gained back 25 and he gained back 30.

Well new year 2007 and on Jan 2 I started again. My office and I have a non official WW meeting. We weigh in every Friday and talk about our week. We talk about if we're stressed, where we think we went wrong, and any good finds.

It's been a rough start for me (I had my parents in town for a weekend and then was traveling on company business)

So far I've only lost 4.4 pounds but I am focussed and I would love to hit my 10% mark by May 17 which is when I come to NY to visit and my cousin's baby shower is that weekend.
