Anybody ever do the 'wish list' on TRU.com?
Is it like a registry, where they check off if it's bought already?
We have so many family that bombard us with Christmas questions from outside the area that I can never fully describe items he wants/needs. Then we have other family that knows Thomas too well that she is asking what kind of trains and tracks he already has. I'm taking pics and sending them through email. I wonder if it's just easier to do the wish list.
Has anybody done it? TIA!

i was considering this for dd's 1st bday, since its so close to Christmas, i want to avoid doubles of everything i already bought her..but my friend just did it, and nothing came up..she went and picked like 25 items, and only ONE came through as available online.. i think maybe if you go to the store its different..im gonna do it at the store i think

I love the TRU wishlist. It started off as a way for me to keep track of the things that I was interested in buying for my kids. Now I use it for the holidays and birthdays. It works like a registry as long as people remember to tell the cashier that it's off a wish list. You can even post it on facebook for everyone to see or you can send your friends a message with the list.

Yep, I do it all the time. Its so much easier for me. Everyone wants to know what she would like and I can't remember who I told what.
I always tell them please don't feel obligated to get something on there, but they normally do.
I HATE returning stuff, especially to TRU

Yes I did it for both DC b-days and LOVED it. I am keeping it for x-mas too. DH and I both have huge families and get the same question of "what can we get the kids" so this works out perfectly for us. I had no problems with doubles or anything and never had a problem accessing either wishlist.

I just made one for DS. His birthday is right around the holidays so everyone has been asking me what to get for him. Figured this was easier because there are items for all different amounts.

I made a christmas wishlist fo the first time. It seems so much easier this way.
I hate to see family spend so much $$ on a toys they won't play with vs something that is like $20 but I know they'll love.
So many toys get left unopened or not played with; it's a shame. So I'm trying this approach.

I've done it for birthdays and Christmas. My family says it's the best thing I've ever done since it makes buying presents so easy.
Once they buy the present they can either tell TRU and they can take it off the registry - or I've had people tell me and I just take it off myself.

I never did this but maybe I should start. Maybe I will do it and then only if people ask I will tell them to look at the site
