Anybody got a bike? (motorcycle, not bicycle!)
I SO want to get one! I've wanted one for years, and now the guys at work who have bikes have been getting me really psyched about getting one. I think I'll take the class and then look into some cheap crotch rockets

Re: Anybody got a bike? (motorcycle, not bicycle!)
I did...a kawasaki ninja 250. Even though it's one of the smallest bikes, I had a REAL problem holding it up. My feet barely touched the ground when I was standing on it, so after a few months, I ended up selling it because I felt like it was pointless. DH has an older bike that he used to ride all the time, and my brothers both have gorgeous new bikes, but it still worries me. My one brother just got into his second accident this year, and that's taking into consideration that he's a VERY safe driver... both accidents were not his fault. I really used to love them, but between that, and the three new cases I got at work re: motorcyclists who died while riding, I'm hesitant these days. So, my advice - take the class, and make sure you get a smaller bike that you can hold...

Thanks! I just sat on one of my co-worker's bikes - my feet touched the ground and I was able to hold it up no problem (I was worried about that). We're in Colorado and not much traffic around here, so lots of people ride bikes.

DH has a Triumph, I used to like to take rides with him but honestly with DS now, if something ever happened to the both of us...
He actually *finally* took the class and got his license, he said it was definitely worthwhile and you also get $ off insurance premium (car policy too, but it has to be an approved program)

DH is a little worried about me having one, but I told him I'm a mom - I'm not going to be going down the road at 70 mph popping wheelies! I just want to have some fun!
