Anybody have experience with head injuries and problems later in life?
We figured a head injury would have initial problems, but not years down the road. Anybody have experience with new symptoms emerging?
TIA!

It happens to football players and athletes all the time.
If you get hit in the head and dont seek medical attention when you should, it can have immediate effects or show later on such as alzheimers, etc.

Re: Anybody have experience with head injuries and problems later in life?
Diving accident 20 years ago. Sought medical attention as soon as it happened and was prognosed to never walk again. Was walking soon after and showed doctors how to never listen to 'never'.
Has had neck problems ever since, but mainly taken care of with chiropractic care. Nothing life altering.
Recently asked by a random doctor if they ever had a neck injury because it may be resulting in recent head/ear problems.
Just found it interesting how something can seem so right, but 20 years later could come around to haunt them.

Wow...good for him for beating the odds.
I am guessing b/c he suffered a traumatic brain injury his body and brain is not going to age like a "healthy" one would. I would imagine there is long-term damage that may appear or get worse as he gets older.

Yes, sounds like a bit of osteporosis kicking in and a bit of arthritis as well.
Good luck.

I've had clients who started to have seizures where the only explanation was a previous head injury. I can't remember whether the cause was eventually confirmed.
