Anybody have to get a PPD while pregnant?
I work @ a healthcare facility and I'm due for my annual PPD.
Just wondering if any of you other girls had to get one and did your doctor "ok" it?

Is that a pap smear? If so, I got one when I went to have my doctor do the blood test to verify I was pregnant, it had been over a year since I'd had one.

No, it's an injection to test for Tuberculosis.

yup, i got one, I work in a hospital, it is fine since it only goes subdermal, but you can refuse it, do you think you've been exposed to TB? If not, why bother getting it? I know we hAVE to get it yearly, but a few of us refused to get it while pregnant more recently.

Do I think I've been exposed...no, but anything's possible since I did have daily contact with our residents.
I called my OB and they gave me a thumbs up, so I guess I'll have it done.
